My monitor isn’t getting signal

Hi guys so basically my monitor isn’t getting sign from my computer that I’ve had for about 2 months now it’s a 

i7 6700k

h110m eco 

8gb crucial ram 

pc and it’s acting really weird so my monitor will turn on and it says no signal but when I take out the cable it says check cable and I’ve tried a few cables so it can’t be thst the monitor starts up and appears to be working also the is taking a very long time to turn off and on. It won’t turn off unless forced off but I’m really confused as to what to do thank you.

Get a cheap graphics card to plug your monitors into

But I’ve been using my on board graphics for 5 months now and nothing has went wrong so far

Does your motherboard support more than one port? It could be a dead HDMI port and not necessarily the on board graphics.
