i personally don't think so, even if it was 5$... it's really slow and it's hot as hell, not worth the headache. (125W TDP)

What are you trying to do? Because I would probably stay away from hardware that old as the performance will be very bad compared to anything more modern. I mean you can spend a little more and get much better.

Honestly I would just save longer until you can get something decent. No point in spending money if you aren't going to get much out of it especially when finances aren't great.

then sure buy it i guess? no way you can buy a new motherboard + CPU + RAM for 30$, so this is your only way.
you should lower your expectations though, it's faster but it's not gonna amaze you.

Ok that doesn't tell me what you are afraid of bottlenecking.

the cpu i have now is too weak, so a cpu upgrade is logical

I assume you live in the Neatherlands based on the link. Check out CEX they are a good sencod hand pc hardware store that will for sure have better options that that cpu. Just be paitient you might snag an i3 and a new motherboard for the same price as long as you wait long enough and check out cex's deals.

The cpu you are upgrading to is also slow and weak so I am unsure how that helps

Brooksie just does not want you to spend the little money you have on something that gives little benefit. I would recommend to be patient and check out CEX. You will find good deals on CPU's there and if you find something adequate to your GPU (3rd or 4th gen i3 for example) their cpu prices are really low, some decent processors cost only a couple of euro there, add a cheap second hand board from ebay or a local auction site and you will eliminate the bottlenecks.

This is an i3 550 on nl.webuy.com. It costs only a 10 euro on CEX and beats the Phenom consistently by 20-40% in most benchmarks at a low 73 watt TDP of . If you would manage to earn just a couple euro more you could get a motherboard and RAM to compliment this processor.
