Old Logo Vs. New Logo. How can i improve this more?

Made my first logo when i was just getting into Photoshop, no idea why it took me this long to redesign it. Does anyone have any recommendations? Open to anything.

Yeah i've gotten that a lot from the beginning. i'll try something with the lower line in the F in the morning.

There I fixed it.
Don't use III for M, it just doesn't work and is confusing for others who don't know what the hell FDIII is supposed to be.

That actually looks much better, Can't look at my final without it looking incomplete

Looks a bit plain for its complexity. But that’s just me. I might have the expectation of a blue from the first picture, but to contrast, testing some other more color would be a cool idea.

I've been using this version as well elsewear, but the B&W just looks nice to me.

 

and i had a unanimous vote in my discord to leave the M disconnected so i'm leaving it at that.

Some tips:

/// does not look like an M to someone who doesn't already know your initials. I read that as FdIII.

Pure white on pure black really hurts my eyes. Might just be me, but in general you do not want that high contrast on something people will read.

Also, you have some gray lines in the picture. For example you have one in the F. Might be left-over from when you made part of it blue?

 

Here is what it would look like with those two adjustments. I set the letters to cccccc rather than ffffff.

Also why come to us for opinions if you seem to not listen to them? your first response was rude and abrupt with no explanation as to why.

 

the second suggestion was reversed because "your discord" said to leave the M how it was (still doesn't look like an M)

 

To be honest, it looks too much like the Forza Motorsport Logo

The logo was only meant to be for personal branding.

I posted it to my Discord server and managed to start a fight over the III vs. M

Don't see that at all

I made it using one color. i've never had a monitor bother me. But i think this blue looks nice. As i've already said, the M was controversial to some of my closer friends so i've decided to keep it as III

The truth is relative in an opinion based question. Leads to a lot of arguments which are often unsettling. The world is cruel.

Eh, to avoid confusion in the future with your logo, I just edited your name locally with a word replacement script.

I think anything looks better than your initial logo FD3, but the ones supplied by the community beat the one you came up with yourself.

I like the trasition thing. I think it's called a blend in photoshop. 
It gives some nice depth imo. 

Black & white is pretty sharp but it may just be me thinking it's a bit flat. You should definitely go with your favorite but those are my thoughts.

I'm legitimately surprised how much feedback i've received so far. at this point i've torn between 20 people in my Discord, and the people who've provided examples here. Weird how two communities can have such differen't opinions..
