Steam Workshop - How to review?

I don't use Workshop that much, for anything. But now I got Train Valley 2 which just released map editor. I would like to review maps, but only thing I can do (as far as I can see) is give thumbs up or down. Not stars or anything more specific. Same thing whether its added to game or not. I know you can give reviews as some maps have star rating. Is there something I'm missing here? Like do I need to have some status in Steam to be able to give reviews?

 

The game itself is in Early Access. First game is on sale, if you like to check it out. 1 and 2 are really different in gamestyle and graphics. Main idea remains. Its puzzle game with trains.

I think you can give like a thumbs up or thumbs down on the mod's page in the workshop. 

Or you can go MXR and make videos on youtube.

So its odd system where stars are counted from +/- votes?

It appears so.
This is a page from an arma 3 mod I found randomly. Those are the only controls I've seen. 
Steam doesn't really do stars as for full release games, people tend to thumbs up or thumbs down.

Minor history lesson:
YouTube used to use stars to rate videos however Google found that people would tend to rate 5 stars or 1 star if they rate. I believe other websites came to this conclusion as well.

Thats bit pity. There are times where I don't think level isn't quite perfect, but not really that bad either.
