Black Screen on 1060 6gb

i have recently bought a PNY 1060 6gb variant. when i finished installing it into my pc it would power on but there wasn't a display on my monitor. i previouslty had a 960 2gb and i removed the drivers so it wouldnt conflict with the new graphics card. i am wondering if i bought a broken one or i am simply making a mistake somewhere.

My PC SPECS:
CPU: I5 4570 3.2@

Motherboard: Z97-K/USB3.1 (asus)

Graphic Card: PNY 1060 6GB

RAM: 16GB hyperx 1600mhz

PCU: 600W Antech

That would probably be the problem as the 1060 doesn't have any drivers, so it wouldn't work.

Sounds like a dead/bad card if you can't even post. Could be the chip, could be the memory, could be the power delivery on the card, but either way, doesn't sound good. I would start looking into RMA if you can.

What CPU do you have?

Sorry I'm a bit retarded. Your monitor should get a signal from the CPU because the CPU you have has intel HD graphics.
