What are some telltale signs of a faulty motherboard and psu?

I may have a faulty motherboard or cpu, just trying to confirm this though by finding some signs of a faulty psu/ mobo

Instability, system crashes, electrical fires.

Mostly joking about that last one.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Hypnotoad's RAM is dying, his motherboard is acting like the 6-year-old AsRock it is, a couple of SATA ports have just stopped working, but the RGB remains. The RGB always remains. Hypnotoad lives. All glory to the Hypnotoad.

Some Symptoms of Faulty PSU

- Won't turn on with paper clip test

- Shutdown under load (This is if you aren't overheating)

- Slow downs when doing intensive tasks (This is if you aren't overheating, have no background programs opened, not running something that would be more than your CPU or GPU can handle, and not hitting the power limit of your PSU)

- Issues with not turning on until you turn off and back on the PSU (This is if your motherboard is working)

- Random BSOD (This is if your RAM, CPU, or OS is not corrupt/having issues)

Some Symptoms of Faulty Motherboard

- Won't turn on (This is if you made sure everything else works)

- POST issues (This is if you made sure everything else works)

- No POST Beep (This is if your PSU actually works)

- Corrupt BIOS

- Not recognising SATA drives, GPU, CPU, or RAM (This is if you made sure everything else works

- Can't turn on with the on board front panel connectors (This is if your PSU actually works)

- Temperature reading issues

- Bulging capacitors

- Standby LEDs are on but won't turn on (This is if your PSU actually works)

- Tested with another PSU and still won't turn on

- Fans plugged into board don't spin up or move

- Board doesn't even POST with nothing plugged in

Basically I had to see what was wrong with my recent motherboard, and most of the symptoms was all through testing everything. I made sure my PSU wasn't the issue by testing 3 PSUs on my motherboard, then moved to RAM slots with 4 different sets of RAM, and tried 3 different GPUs, also changed the CMOS battery to a fresh new one. The biggest clue I got from my testing was that none of the fans spun up when plugged into the board but all the PSUs worked so I knew my motherboard was the cause.

Maybe. Could also be bad RAM, even a bad GPU on some setups. You've got some troubleshooting ahead of you.
