So its been about a year since I built a ryzen 1600 pc. Everything seems to run fine. So no questions about that.

 

Now I want to put on a rgb strip on it. It is a 5050 rgb strip from supernight. 

 

The asrock rgb software doesn't seem to work. It provides the gui but doesn’t interact with LEDs. The leds are just white but I can see the other lights in it.

 

Is this just because this was a fairly new hardware and perhaps it isn’t compatible as I have found posts about the x370 version working just fine?
