How much is my Blade Stealth worth?

Hey everyone,

 

I'm planning a laptop upgrade for my upcoming Fall school semester and one of the ways I'm trying to save up for my new laptop with a budget of $1000 is by selling my old one, a Razer Blade Stealth 2016 with an i7-6500u, 8GB RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD, and a 4k 12.5" screen. It's in good condition, the only reason I'm upgrading is that the battery life on these laptops is unusually bad (they just drain themselves so quickly in my experience, even sleeping. Maybe it's entering a shallow state of sleep? I've never looked in to this problem, I heard it was common) and the keyboard is.. uh.. subpar, compared to even my old $400 ThinkPad. I also don't need a 4K screen, many OSes still need work on DPI scaling. The laptop was a gift to me anyway a few years back, I wish I could have had a say in the matter otherwise I wouldn't be having this problem right now.

 

Anyway, I'm completely in the dark as to how much this thing is worth on the market. I took a quick glance on eBay price history and I'm seeing about a $600 Buy It Now listing price for similar configurations, except those models have a 1440p screen instead of the 4k. Like I said, the laptop is in good cosmetic condition, however, some of the keys are kind of mushy and sticky, one has a keycap missing, and two mysteriously have had their backlight go out on them (great). Would it go for less on a site like Craigslist? Where should I sell if I'm in the US (Midwest, Chicago)?

So you're telling me you, or someone you know, or someone on the internet will take my laptop for a thousand? I have a hard time believing you. This is a 2 year old laptop. not that I'm complaining.

You shouldn't waste it, it can last a couple more years, and I've heard very small hints about trade ins.

Razer doesn't suck, it's some of the highest ends in gaming gear, and laptops.

Their mice are ass. Keyboards are decent but their laptops are pretty nice.

Hah. You two say that to the cheap, magically unscrewed screws on my Blade Stealth that are just casually falling off without me doing anything. Don't even get me started on its keyboard.. aargh.
