What happens to the LTT builds?

Computernaut

Linus builds a lot of computers, but what does he do with them all? The laptops too, I don't think they send them back to the manufacturers. If he keeps them all he has enough computers to start the worlds biggest gaming arcade, (And he'd win the prize for highest-end hardware too).

What is actually supposed to go here? Some people put their specs, others put random comments or remarks about themselves or others, and there are a few who put cryptic statements.

Oh, okay. Somehow that's a bit disappointing.

Builds that he does himself are usually disassembled a few days after they're built, and the parts are reused for other builds.

Linus only has one 8700K AFAIK, and he's done like 10 builds with it.

Laptops/Review devices that are sent to him can't really be taken apart, so depending on the agreement between Linus and the company supplying the hardware, he either sends back the laptop, or keeps it.

There are a few builds that Linus / other staff will use for awhile like the mineral oil builds but most of them are deconstructed shortly after.

They go to either inventory or are reused for future builds and testing.

Linus is secretly mining crypto-currency with all his spare gpu's, he knows many you despise miners, but he mines for extra money and keeps it secret from the general public.

Unless otherwise stated, they are just for videos and get disassembled afterwards. Some recent builds have been for staff members work or personal use, namely

For their graphics designer and

Max's personal build.

They build the computer for the video in question, shoot the video and then - typically and unless otherwise stated - take the PC apart afterwards.

The parts are stored on stock shelves in their office/warehouse.

In office tour videos from when they were first moving in to the big office, they showed their shelving setups with a ton of parts.
