Will the CPU die too if the intergratedGPU (Intel HD) dies?

Good question, I'm not sure. I guess technically it would be possible to just kill the iGPU, but since they're so close to each other on the die you're likely to take them out both at the same time, I think.

I'd imagine if something like a few transistors on the iGPU died, it won't affect the CPU. Though, there's also the question of whether or not something else in the system makes sure the iGPU is good or not and allows booting to continue.

Since you can still use a PC with your iGPU disabled (if you have a dedicated GPU), I don't think the CPU will die if the iGPU dies.

Because I've currently removed my 1080ti and only using intergrated gpu, as I'm not playing any demanding games.
Playing:

• Kenshi
• Dragon ball Xenoverse 2
• The Forest
• Terraria

So I was wondering if in the future doing this might kill my cpu as well.

I'm saving the 1080ti until a new game comes out that actually needs it. :-D Finished Far Cry 5 and Assassin's Creed Origins.

Probably not, but the iGPU isn't on-board. Those haven't existed for quite a few years. Back when the motherboard chipset was still comprised of a Northbridge and Southbridge, the motherboard had its own GPU. Later (starting with the Core i# series if memory serves correctly) an iGPU became part of the CPU. On-board graphics hadn't existed since then.
