Need help choosing a graphics card for my new build

so after choosing every part for my build " witch is for 1080p 75hz gaming "
the build is as following :

Ryzen 7 2700x " with stock cooler "
Asus ROG x470-F strix
Trident Z RGB 2x8 3200mhz
Adata SU800 500g.b SSD
Asus GTX 1080 Strix A-8G

And im thinking about getting the 1080ti witch if i will get i will have to get rid or the rgb ram and the ssd and add an extra 60$ and get EVGA's SC black edition 1080ti
will that be worth it ? .. i know its an overkill for 1080p but i want it to last atleast 5 years as i wont
be able to upgrade until then ... so is it worth it or should i just go with the 1080 non ti ?

Thanks in advance for anyone who will help or already helped =D

Personally speaking I would always go for the worse 1080 Ti before going to the best 1080.

wont it be a waste ? but i think 35% performance wont matter that much as games get more demanding
if the 1080ti is getting 60fps in a game within 4 years the 1080 will be getting 46 .. im i thinking wrong ?

i don't even think the 1080 is worth the cost over a cheaper 1070. hell all graphics cards are overpriced for what they are which is essentially over 2 years old hardware by now.

If your doing 1080p gaming, I would just go for the 1070 or 1070TI when you see one. I mean its not going to hurt if you get a 1080 for 1080TI, it will just hurt your wallet.

If you can hold out, why not just wait till around December to see if they release the next family of GPUs? I was in the same boat as you, wanting to "future proof". Its not a bad idea cause you cant upgrade for around 5 years as you said but you have to keep in mine that at this pace, the GTX 1080 or TI version will just be bad later on. You have to keep your expectations in check as well. If you think that you will get a 4k or 1440p monitor soon or a couple years from now, remember these GPUs wont be the top dogs anymore. I personally say just get a 1070 if you plan on just doing 1080p gaming for the 5 years.

you think sacrificing the ssd and the rgb ram will be worth it to get the 1080ti ? i think it will last longer than the 1080 or not ? .. some people tolled me at the the time the 1080 will struggle to play at 1080p the 1080ti will be absolete

I would say a SSD is a good investment because of how smoothly the operating system will run IMO, thats really it if you arnt doing file transfers all the time. I mean a SSD or HDD wont affect your FPS or anything, really just how your OS will run cause some games dont even load faster on a SSD and if so, its very small. The ram on the other hand, I would say 16GB is good, no need to go higher if your just playing games. I dont know how much you are going to loose if you get the 1080TI, or if they just wont be RGB. My 1080, non TI plays 1080p games perfectly. Every game I play max settings and 150+ FPS, depending cause if the game isn't modestly optimized, it wont mater. The 1080 and TI version are really meant for the people who play games at 1440p and higher. I have a 144hz monitor, so it wasent that bad of a investment on my end. But if you have a 1080p 60Hz monitor, a 1080 or TI version is super overkill and you wont be using the GPU to its fullest way.

Honestly I would just say get yourself a SSD, 16GB of ram, a 1070, and get a after market CPU cooler.

I would personally lose the SSD to get a better GPU. RGB RAM isn't a concern for me at all, I just need it to work and perform well. The 1080Ti will definitely last longer than the 1080, it's the best gaming GPU on the market. The 1080 doesn't struggle at 1080p at all, and probably won't for another 3-5 years. By the time the 1080 struggles on 1080p, the 1080Ti will not be obsolete.

Obsolete in this sense means when the hardware is incapable. Heck, even the GTX 780 isn't obsolete and is actually a pretty decent 1080p card. That said, whoever told you the 1080Ti will be obsolete by the time the 1080 struggles on 1080p is incorrect.

I agree as well with you to a degree. I think though that if in a perfect world he was to upgrade in 5 or so years, the 1070 and 1080 will be obsolete and I do think even the 1080TI will be slaking. Either way, they will need to be upgraded if you want to play the modern games at max settings. I dont know his personal use case and how he wants to play games and what settings/resolution he will play at. If he strictly will only play 1080p at max settings, I still say the 1070 to save some money and that money can go to say a better CPU. If he plans on upgrading his monitor to a 144hz or 1440p/4k, I will say get the 1080 or TI version.

For 1080 p 75 Hz gtx 1070 of 1070ti is more than enough why do want to buy a more expensive gpu if u don't want to use it to its full extent if u want 60 fps at 4k u should go for 1080ti but for 1080p 1070ti is more than enough
