Posted May 25, 2018 Google Assistant is factually more intelligent than Siri, though Siri is more sassy! lol! However, whenever this question comes up, I like to point out why Google Assistant is so much better. The reason lies with how Google views user data. Google sees your data as something to be aggregated, combed through, sorted, and sold. Apple on the other hand, doesn't use user data for the betterment of its AI or sells it or really much of anything. Apple keeps most personal info on device in the Secure Enclave. The result of this is Apple does not have AI that is nearly as advanced as Googles.....for now. Siri has been getting more intelligent over time and she is teasing about getting smarter at WWDC 2018. So sure, Google Assistant is better, but at what cost? And for what gain? (Also I generally don't use virtual assistants, only for basic hands free commands really) Laptop: 2019 16" MacBook Pro i7, 512GB, 5300M 4GB, 16GB DDR4 | Phone: iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB | Wearables: Apple Watch SE | Car: 2007 Ford Taurus SE | CPU: R7 5700X | Mobo: ASRock B450M Pro4 | RAM: 32GB 3200 | GPU: ASRock RX 5700 8GB | Case: Apple PowerMac G5 | OS: Win 11 | Storage: 1TB Crucial P3 NVME SSD, 1TB PNY CS900, & 4TB WD Blue HDD | PSU: Be Quiet! Posted May 25, 2018 To put it simply, siri sucks. The only reason siri exists is it was the first assistant built into a smartphone. However, this doesn't mean Google assistant is perfect, it still has many flaws.
