Use MDR950BT (hardwired) and buy a blue snowball or buy a new gaming headset?

Should i use my current headphones Sony MDR950BT (hardwired) and just get a blue ICE? or should i just get a new headset (Arctis 3, 5 , g230/430)?

i don't really care about 7.1 audio, as long as i can hear directional audio in CS and other FPS games properly

My trition kunais finally started breaking at the wire, and only work when the cable is flexed a certain way

 

I already know that people do this with studio monitors (which my headphones are not) and they use a modmic, if anyone running a similar setup could give me their opinion, that'd be great.

110 CAD before taxes at the very most, i really dont wanna spend more than $90 unless i see value, if that makes sense.

Please include the Vmoda Boompro in this guide. For $30 it’s amazing because it’s like the Modmic, but it plugs into a headphone that uses a detachable 3.5mm cable, meaning one wire.

Could you also make super-cheap in-ear guide? I need new spare set to replace Skullcady's. I only use them when BT's (Anker Soundbuds) run out of battery.
