R5 2600 or i5 8400

I am building a new pc, but i need help choosing the cpu. The amd combo costs 169 euros for the cpu and 73 for the mobo if i pick a b350, or 140 if i go the x470 route. The intel combo costs 165 for the cpu and 60 for an h310 mobo or 90 for a z370. The gpu will be a 1060 and the main use will be gaming, and some autocad and solidworks, but rarely.

looking at the gaming the 8400 with a z370 will be the best. for solidworks and autocad ryzen is better with a b350

I'd pick the R5 2600 every day of the week.

 

Also, there's no way a Z370 board is that cheap.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Definitely the 2600. Keeps pace with the 8400 in gaming, overclockable and includes an overclocking capable box cooler too INTEL
