Are you sure you want to convert it to .mp3?

mp3 is audio-only.

If you want to convert it to .mp4 then I recommend you download FFmpeg and then run this command:

ffmpeg -i INPUT_FILE_NAME.flv -codec copy OUTPUT_FILE_NAME.mp4

That should do a straight transfer of the video and audio from the .flv container to an mp4 container. No quality loss, and it will finish really quickly.

THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF THE .flv FILE CONTAINS CODECS WHICH ARE SUPPORTED BY MP4.

If the .flv file contains some other format then you're kind of screwed and is only left with the option of re-encoding it, but at that point it's probably best to keep it as .flv.
