RAM, you are going to want that second channel of memory.

Lots of reputable videos out there countering that myth

2400 ram is a bit low

2600 is the lowest one should go, but 3000 gives you a 3% gain

if you can OC

just a second thougt, you have a little bottleneck with your CPU. maybe a 7700 or something will fix your problem

The gains wouldn't justify the cost. Better off going for the 8700k if they want better cpu performance as that is probably the only upgrade worth getting. Even then idk if I would do that as the 6700 is still a very solid cpu.

a 8700/8700k would be better, but you will also need a new motherboard with 1151 V2. that's why i said 7700

Like I said, either get the 8700k or don't upgrade. Going from a 6700 to a 7700 would hardly make a difference to the point where you would probably only notice on benchmarks and not in the feel of the game play. You end up paying like 300 bucks for a imperceptible increase in performance. Just doesn't seem worth to me in my opinion.

Boot Drive SSD and 3200 RAM. Is that a Z or H series board?

Oh, and some bracket to support your sagging GPU.

Your GPU is currently sagging in the socket because it's too heavy to be held by the bracket + slot. It's putting strain on the motherboard in the process. You just need to support the weight of the GPU in some way. Either from a bracket on the side or some sort of stand.

I noticed the mobo listing after I typed that one, oops. You need another stick of memory, so a 16 Gb stick, probably 2400 since that's max for the board.

Easy boot drive suggestion. 144 Hz issues are probably down to the single channel memory and trying to load all resources from a HDD.

SSD or Ultrawide Monitor.  144Hz is a vapor goal, unless you're a pro?  Get more screen for a much better gaming experience, IMO.

Boot Drive SSD & 16 Gb RAM stick should remove the bottleneck for an esports title like Fortnite.
