What is the best graphics card I can get for $200?

Hey, so I currently have an RX 460, and it works fine for 1080p 60fps gaming at medium to low settings, but anything further is just inconsistent in FPS.

So, with a budget of $200, what is the best graphics card I can get for 1080p Ultra (or if it comes down to it, just high settings)? What about $250?

I'm not the greatest shopper/deal hunter, and I also am very vulnerable to buy something that I thought was a great price then be disappointed when I found out that I made a mistake, so any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

For 200 USD, you should be able to get a used GTX 980...

Do you think that will be enough for 1080p Ultra in pretty much all titles? I'm pretty sure it is from what I have heard, but I just want to make sure.

Depends on the game and refresh rate.

Older ones? Yes. Newer ones? No. But even a 1080Ti won't max out all newer games at ultra and 144hz.

It really depends. There isn't really a "do it all" 1080p card.

a 980 is roughly equal to a 1060 6gb, its plenty enough right now

Ok. My refresh rate right now is 60hz, and although I plan on getting a 144hz monitor in the future, I don't plan on getting a card that can max out that. So, it's really only 60 right now.

Also, I'm not completely on the ball with getting the newest games - but what I can say is that I do play some games that came out in the past 3-4 years, and that's really where I see the struggle.

200 dollars will not give you Ultra settings, to begin with prices are very inflated I think you can only find something like a GTX 970 depending on your national and local market.

It doesn't matter though as "Ultras" are nothing but a marketing thing and you shouldn't really concern yourself with it:

Another option would be AMD Fury, if you can pick one up around that price point

Yeah I see what you mean. I just want better settings than low - and when I say ultra I mean enough settings to make the game look truly good.

How much better is a 980 compared to a 1050 ti?
