I don't thik i would go with anything less than 600W. The CPU have a maximum 65W power consumption, and the GPU are able to draw 450W. That totals on 515W, and even though other components dont draw much power, you mentioned upgrading your CPU in the future. Also, it is recommended to have quite a margin, so thant you dont blow out your capacitors, or set your rig on fire.

I think at least 550W, but maybe go with something more powerful if you want to upgrade later on.

Did you buy any hardware yet? What Budget/Country?

650W is probably fine depending on crazy overclocks.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

The GPU is the biggest power hog here, a 550w would be the minimum requirement.

A 290X on its own is a 300W card. A 550W PSU should be fine as long as it's of sufficient quality. A Corsair TX550M would be a good choice.

1.  check.

2. Those Calculators are nonsense because they work with worst case TDP.

Just play around with RAM and Drives and see by how much the "calculated" Wattage changes...

w/o OC, 450-550W.

But go for good, not Watt.

ie Bitfenix Whisper M, 450W instead of some 650W Bronze one, even if they are from Named Brands...

You want something good instead of something with Moar Watt, wich doesn't benefit you when you don't need the Watt.

550 watt is enough. But if you want to overclock then buy 650 watts of powersupply

What about corsair cs650m.

Or cheap like corsair vs 650.

Where do you live what's available?

The usual recommendations would be:
Bitfenix Formula, 450 or 550W

Whisper M 450 or 550W

Cougar GX-F 550W

be quiet Straight Power 11, 450 or 550W

Corsair CS650m is EOL for about a Decade or so, so no.

Corsair VS-650 is Group Regulated, so nothing you'd want with a Higher end PC like this one.

Nope, that's shit...

Raidmax is more known for their overrated PSU, wich is a very bad thing.

And I've found an Ukrainiean Review of the 800W version - and it doesn't look 80plus goldish.

To make matters worse the Primary cap looks like the one you usually find in good named brands 550, maybe 600W...

And for a bit less you can get an honest 450W PSU, for the same price an honest 550W, look below...

Yes, use one of those I mentioned.

Cheapest one would be the Formula, wich is even cheaper than the wone you've looked for, then the Cougar GX-F.

The Whisper M has some weird Prices in the Americas. The 450W is good, 550W cost double of the 450W???

Yes, it pretty much is.

Rather get a good, new 450 than a used/refurbished or worse 550-650W one.

You want a good one first, then care about the Watt, if you want to. But you don't need it, doesn't give you advantages...

Spend 10 of your Dollars and get this instead:

The one I recommended, the BItfenix Formula, yes.

Its a pretty good PSU for the Price.

If you want Modular, you have to pay for either the Whisper M, 450W or Cougar GX-F 550W.
