What games, what settings, and what kind of problems? Stuttering, crashing, artifacting, etc.

That PSU isn't the best quality, but I doubt it's the issue TBH.

That PSU is really not a good choice for a high end build like that.  You can afford something of quality.  That said, what troubles are you having?  If the PC is randomly switching off or giving a BSoD, or perhaps even just crashing the game, it is probably the PSU, but if you're just getting a lower than expected frame rate, I don't think it's the issue.  Still, you should change it though.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Well the problems i have are with most games like i can boot the just fine but the a few minutes in the freezes and then i get a black screen but i can still hear the audio, and the main reason i bought the power supply was because i checked on pc part picker to see if it would be enough (guess it wasn't) and also i didn't think i would need something with more juice.

I'm going to say it's the PSU because god damn what made you buy that firecracker with a GTX 1080!?

What psu would you recommend?

If the system isn't crashing completely, I doubt its the psu. Barely using 300 watts with that setup.

The wattage is fine, it's just the quality. There's a PSU tier list linked in my sig, go for tier 2 or 3, though 2 or higher is preferred with your system.

no it doesn't completely crash, but it seems to like "refresh" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
