is it safe to use infinity by wemod or will i get virus

mojodenmark

pretty interesting idea. it could be safe since you're only modding single-player games, but it might get detected by the client wrapper e.g. Uplay

Piracy and hacking isn't allowed, cheating though, isn't piracy or "hacking", especially not in a single player game.

Also, backseat moderation isn't allowed either, so if you think it's not allowed, you shouldn't be mentioning it and simply reporting.

If you think it might be unsafe, just use CheatEngines. This application, if it really works, is probably based around the same idea, where it takes a hold of value in the memory and modifies it, but with a simpler interface. Basically look to be what games "trainers" used to be in the past.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Here's the thing though. You told him that multiple times. Sure, you wanna tell him once "Oh hey this might be against the rules"? Sure. Fine.

But you should have simply reported the post immediately, and let the Mods deal with it.

FYI, I imagine they'll be okay with it. He's not posting links or encouraging others to cheat. He's not even asking how to cheat. He's asking if there's a risk of viruses. And if his claim of Single Player Only is correct, then it wouldn't be cheating anyway.

@mojodenmark

Personally, I would avoid a program like that unless you're running it inside a VM (which is a pain to get working with most games anyway) - I wouldn't trust it and the risk of malware would be too much for me.

Hey! Just wanted to chime in here, I stumbled upon this topic and just wanted to confirm that WeMod is completely safe to use. We have hundreds of thousands of users and we're still growing.

We only support singleplayer games.

Is there any reason you think this or do you say this about all desktop applications?

You just joined and you're not an affiliate, how can we confirm that this is true?

Talking about piracy in general, broad details, is acceptable however the posting or discussing pirated/hacked/cracked or otherwise nefariously obtained content is not. This includes Windows content, games, hackintosh, etc. Also discussions regarding ways to avoid or block legitimately installed monitoring/tracking software or the like is also not allowed.

Feel free to browse our website, forums, or even youtube! (I'm not going to link anything here.)

It would depend on how the program works, and how reputable the developer is.

If it was a program that I’d never heard of, and couldn’t easily check the reputation of, I would definitely avoid using it.

I would most certainly not just install random programs I downloaded off the web unless I trusted them.

Nothing personal or against your company. If sources I trusted vetted your program, then I wouldn’t be worried about using it.

What game are you trying to mod?  If it has Nexus mod support I would use that instead.

Glad to know! We'll have to get some more reputable vouches. I guess sometimes hundreds of thousands of normal users isn't enough. :)

i know this is an old thread and as the thing says, start a new one. but every time i download this onto my machine it always seems to slow down or some issues happen later down the line. now the program might not give viruses or malware (haven't had malware yet) but when you use trainers from it your downloading other people trainers so the programs good but the content received is third part... i just thorught id add this to the perdantic people that cant distinguish between talking in category or direct about the program.
