I ended up buying Gas Station Simulator. I've beaten the game, fully upgraded the gas station and all cosmetic upgrades and now have like $35,000 and there's not really much left for me to do except sweep the floor everyone now and then and keep stock levels up

 

The game is very jank and buggy, but it gives it a certain charm. Want to launch a bus in to orbit by pushing it with a broom? This is the game for you.

The game is basically a collection of mini games to fuel cars, scan items at the checkout, and repair vehicles. The game always keeps you busy though with customers lining up at the register, people waiting for fuel, deliveries being made to the warehouse, people needing car repairs, floors getting dirty needing to be swept.

Scanning items at the register gets very buggy once people start buying more than a couple of items. All of the items have physics and you drag them across the scanner and place them in to the basket. If you put them in the basket without scanning or don't put them in the basket the customer gets unhappy and it hurts your popularity. Once there's a couple of items in the basket the physics gets very wonky and you can knock stuff out of the basket or the collisions will prevent you from putting stuff in the basket. Operating the register is the most tedious and boring of all the tasks so you'll quickly delegate that to an employee the first chance you get.

AI pathfinding is stupid as hell. I'll often find my employees walking in to the closed warehouse door because they don't know how to open doors or go around - they're not even trying to enter the warehouse they're trying to walk to their caravans behind the warehouse! They'll also sometimes block traffic and just stand there until you investigate why traffic is backed up and honking and see them just standing in front of a car like a moron.

You can lockpick the trunks of cars in the parking lot and do it in front of people and cops without anyone noticing. Locking uses basically the same mechanic as skyrim/fallout so it's pretty easy and it gives you 2 lockpicks per car. If you get caught it lowers your gas station popularity a little, but the lockpicking is so easy I think I only failed it twice out of hundreds of attempts and that was when I wasn't even really watching what I was doing. You can get $5-$25 per trunk of pure profit so lockpicking is one of the most profitable things to do. For comparison filling a tank with gas will give you around $20-$50 but around two thirds of that is lost to the cost of you buying the fuel. You also occasionally find cosmetic items in trunks you can use to decorate your gas station with.

You buy stock to sell in the store and use as parts in the workshop to repair vehicles. Each day the wholesale price changes and it impacts how profitable you can be. You want to buy stuff when they're cheap to maximise profit - though with the workshop it can be difficult as you need parts to repair vehicles so will sometimes have to buy stuff for near or at the price you are selling it for. Though, I did get lucky and had car batteries drop from $60 to $20 in one day so I stocked up and bought 120 of them. You get $90 for replacing the battery in a vehicle. Ka-ching!

I also had a weird bug where there was just 4 wheels and 2 doors floating in the workshop from a car that must have been there and glitched out. Not sure what happened to cause it and I haven't seen it since. Thought I won the jackpot when I realised I could pick up the 4 wheels. Woohoo free stock. Unfortunately it didn't let me use those tyres to fix flats on other peoples cars. Damn. I needed tyres too.

I saw some discussion about light bulbs. I've bought plenty of LED bulbs from Dollar Tree over the years, and only a few have failed. I bought a high brightness GE bulb a few months ago, and it broke within two days.

thing I hate about cheap LEDs is weird color temps and bad green/magenta hue shifts.
I don't want a 4000K light with a strong magenta cast.
ether give me 5500-6000k or 2500-3000k
