Come to think of it, I’m not known for being good with anger management, but maybe trying something constructive instead of pretending to beat the shit out of someone who wronged you?

Should I buy gas station simulator?

Pros:

  • If I'm spending my spare time playing that I won't be around to lock the MotF thread

Cons:

  • A false sense of security will cause you to spam and another mod will lock the thread
  • It's AUD$26

It's the data storage part. NAND flash is used in internal SSDs, and I think in most flash drives (though there's also NOR flash which is different, and I'm not sure where it's used)

Not quite sure really. I already have a lot of games I want to play, not enough time to play them. usually I wait for a sale. I've spent a lot of money recently on somethings I didn't need. there's something else I want but don't need. I guess all these factors and more mixed together are making me want to try some self control. and somehow my self control leaves out Sprocket, yet I impulse bought a milkshake last week, and an iced coffee, and a brownie, and a more expensive breakfast than normal. . . .    if added all up had I not bought those things I could've bought sprocket instead. . .

Gas station? Seems kind of boring.
Flight, truck or farm simulators are probably more engaging. Or just go back to good and old Sim City (SNES or 3000. 2000 is bad and 4 is kind of meh).

It's a Gewehr 1898 but my grandpa modified it to shoot smaller rounds because, well, military grade ammunition isn't something you can get at the town's gun shop, I don't think the original rounds are produced anymore given the age of the rifle but tbh I'm not that deep into guns, I just know I can make holes on things with them and that's enough. Also personal defense although it's a bit heavy.

Oh cool! Any idea what round it's chambered in now?

Though .308 Winchester has greater pressure and a slightly greater headspace, so not all guns that support 7.62 NATO support .308 Winchester, and vice versa.

Does it use stripper clips? Little metal rails with the rounds on it, that you put into a notch on the gun and can just shove them in all at once?

I've skipped this comment before.

I do want the yellowish light, I can't stand cold tones except at the workshop where clear tones are important when repairing electronics.

Thing is more complicated than it seems, probably because I overcomplicate it but let's skip that part. You know incandescent lamps right? it's a tiny glowing filament inside a glass shell, pretty simple, same goes for the tungsten arc lamps as the light emitting component is small, LED (and CFL) are something else, most mainstream bulbs I've seen are made out of 10 or 20 surface mounted diodes on a board with a white plastic shell on top that acts as a diffuser, sure this maximises the effective angle from about 45º to 270º and overall aparent light output, but at the same time it makes objects and people cast diffused shadows which isn't nice.

Newer vertical diode lamps cast somewhat better shadows but you (I) can still notice a slight superposition as the lamps have multiple "filaments" inside and not just one that glows brighter which could probably go around this problem as it'd imitate an actual tungsten filament or arc discharge, I'm guessing no one's made this yet because of heat as LEDs aren't as resistant as metal.

This probably wouldn't be a problem at all for most people as they keep buying them but it certainly is for me, the lamp holder on my room is at a height of 3m and LED lamps make everything look... strange, it's as if the room was in a videogame with textures set to ultra and shadows set to low.

And that's another wall of text right there.

edit: I've found single filament lamps do exist but are ridiculously long lol, also they haven't reached my country yet, I'd rather have one with a clear glass rather than amber though. It should be equivalent to 250W, not sure if that's a thing with LEDs yet.

I was a maintenance guy for over a decade at my last place of work so lighting isn't anything I'm unfamiliar with.
Building maintenance was one of the things I had to do, in fact I was designated as the building guy but really did it all like the rest had to as well - And they had NO problem calling me to replace a bad drive motor or gearbox on the producton line/conveyor system, even had to do some of the HVAC stuff too the others more or less didn't have to worry about overall.
That's why I knew about the different lighting styles you can get, as you put it the kind of light at times makes a difference in how well you can see and it's not a matter of "How Bright" so much in those cases.

You'll have to experiment and see what is the right brightness and light-type for what you are wanting to have since there is no easy answer, it's really an individual thing in play with it.

As for the things I was doing, I was what the union guys refer to as a "Millright" in that if it had to be done, I was one of the guys that had to do it and not everyone can do that kind of stuff.

I'll also PM you a vid link to something I did just yesterday to illustrate these "Skills" I've got.
I don't think they like links to vids, even if it's just personal being posted out in the open but I'm happy to show you what I've done and that goes for anyone else that wants to check it out.
