he "quit" LMG and is now running FloatPlane. Mostly for legal and paper work reasons, as they are trying to separate the two companies.  But he still works in the LMG building. That a part is rented out to FloatPlane.

he disapeared into the void, never to be seen again exept for when he manages to materialize from the air as Linus sacrefises one GTX 1080TI to the Floatplane gods so he can be on the WAN Show

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Nope. He "quit" so LMG wouldn't have to give him a compensation package.

Float Plane, Less Censorship then YouTube???   YouTube is becoming a politicized ads driven platform.  This is crushing people looking for an out let for their hobbies and creativity.  They are having to worry about Mega Global Corps looking for their next litigation target to protect their monopolies.  The Mega Global Corps hide behind the populace's desire to enshrine with royalty gold the one hit wonders and patent king of the hills.   If something is truly offensive illegal, YouTube could parse it to a relatively unfiltered sub channels to be parsed by jurisdiction law enforcement, supporters and detractors.  US Congress and EU are forcing YouTube to be the internet secret police.

Still not seeing good reasons behind this argument. You don't loose anything by not paying.

You have to have a revenue source if your are going to fund it without advertiser censoring contributions.  Plus, since it is not free and opt in, you may avoid some government regulations.

Yes, you do lose.

The so called excuse of "Early access" is nothing more than hiding the content you were going to release behind a paywall. Content which was going to be released for free for everyone on YouTube anyway. The only difference is the lack of 3$ per month from your pocket.

You're not actually getting things earlier, you're getting the exact same videos which were going to be released for everyone for free, it's just that you payed 3$ for it.

But "Early Access" Am I right??? xD

Well if you don't want to pay, you can just wait for Youtube, some just want the content sooner. The $3 helps them make more content or i'm assuming help the Floatplane platform grow.
