What are the best new options for SSD?

Hello, 

What are the best options for the best SSD available in the market ? 

 

My last option was samsung evo 840 and a friend has been asking me for the best option of 2018

 

Any best ssd for the moment? Budget doesn't matter , it should be good quality wise

For 2.5 inch SATA- Samsung 860 EVO

For m.2 SATA- Samsung 860 EVO

For NVME- Samsung 960 Evo

Capacities depend on your need

860 Evo is generally the best. But if you really want to spend alot there's Intel optane.

Another good SATA option near the 860 EVO in performance is the MX500, usually cheaper.

But for the consumer only 64GB is available and still it is used for acceleration of HDD not for replacing HDD

MX500 usually is cheaper, might as well get the better performance

Oh really? congratz for reading, for your concern it was 1 option out of 4 I listed, supposed that part you failed to read, the 900p is the best pick for no budget set hands down and that's it.

What really makes SSDs shine for consumer use isn't so much its bandwidth. It's the response time. I've seen maybe one or two applications that can eat more bandwidth than what SATA 6Gbps can provide. Even then, it was only for a short burst.
