Do you really need to ask? Linus isn't exactly a name you'd give to a girl. It'd be like naming your daughter John or David.

No... it really is not.

Even in Sweden, where the name Linus is actually popular, there's like, 2 women named Linus... out of over 20k men named Linus

That is, if it isn't just someone that ticked the wrong place on their census. Linus simply isn't a gender neutral name in the same vein as Alex, Blaine, Lane, Morgan, etc...

 

The actual girl equivalent of Linus is something like Lina. If you name your baby girl Linus, you clearly don't love her and shouldn't be allowed to name your kids.
