Anyone remember DFI ?

Back in '08 i dreamed of owning this board. DFI with their Lanparty models had the sickest color schemes and features.

Its a DFI Lanparty UT X58-T3eH8, Intel LGA1366 socket. Was around 270-300$ back then.

Does software count?

Bought a PC from Best Buy long time ago. It came with windows XP disc and windows vista upgrade disc

Reminds me of the sealed Vista disc I gave @FakeKGB LOL!

Speaking of, I wonder how their stuff is going? I haven't seen any updates lately unless I've missed them.

The last thing I was able to do was confirm that the P4C800-E Deluxe needs new caps. After that has been nothing, I'm going to work more on it over Christmas break as I can use Christmas money to buy the caps and then recap the board.

Though there is the VCFMW (Vintage Computer Festival MidWest) next weekend that I'm looking forward to.

Ordered replacement caps for that MSI board today. Trying to decide between recapping the whole board, or just the ones that need it. I'll replace just the ones that need it, and if it doesn't work then I won't bother with it further (it has other issues that are a bit harder to fix) - but if it does work then I'll probably replace them all.

Hey people.  Thought this thread would be the best place to ask this.

I'm trying to build all my past rigs from days gone.

so it'll be:

an 80386 33MHz

a Cyrix 686 166MHz

a PII 450

an Athlon XP 2400+ (i still have this chip)

an Athlon X2 5000 (i still have this chip)

an FX 8120

I know this'll take forever but i don't care.  It's just something to do while i wait for my inevitable death, alone and broke (Cheery bastard aren't i?)

Anyways to the question

Found a bundle for sale:

Abit BE6-II (BX440),

Pentium2 450MHz,

GeForce2 Ti,

Sound card,

512 MB RAM.

Just wondered what you guys and gals would pay for something like that.  It all works apparently

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

Found this guy in a huge box of drives to destroy in the school tech room, I asked if I could keep it and they said yes. Does anyone know what this would have gone to? It’s SCSI/Molex power so that dates it a bit, it’s got custom rails to slide into a workstation or server tool less case, and it’s made by IBM. No DOM but the copyright date is ‘94. It says “DFHS” on it, perhaps the format it’s in?

Old post now, but DFHS is the model. It's an old SCSI drive. Lots of DFHS drives were used in server environments.

Me personally, wouldn't go over $150. The more under that number the better, without a case and power supply Its just a bunch of parts after all.

hey, if someone is willing to part with a bundle like that for $20, then by all means that would be the ultimate bargain. But unfortunately the reality is its extremely unlikely.
