It's for an SLI bridge. You can make custom ones out of 3.5" floppy drive cables.

Dunno the rest of the hardware, memory isn't what is used to be.

But 90's Sega Games (VF, SR) were all boosted much faster with that small 20mhz OC. Enough to surprise me back in the day and start this whole PC addiction.

W98 getting you down.. install over the top, programs kept working... Such a GOLDEN OS for learning techies. Screw it up, Re-install and try again within the hour.

Well, for 1983, you shouldn't even have 640k. 256k might have been high end.

an revived Asus V7700/32M (GeForce2 GTS 32MB AGP 4x). I got it from an old Athlon 1200 rig and was full of dead spiders and stuff. Still works fine. Plays all the good stuff from 2001, Operation Flashpoint (or ArmA, whatever), CS 1.6, but refuses to do Half-Life 2.

I have a Sound Blaster AWE 64 Gold lying about in case I ever get a rig that has ISA.

Pentium 100MHz on a Intel/Compaq 1994 OEM board, has the best FM synth chip onboard, don't have a fitting case or PSU though.

I just threw away a broken AGP Nvidia 3000 series card, sadly no photos of it.

 

 

The one on the very right is not a RAM stick, its a COAST module, probably for a Socket 7 system.

 

 

("cache on a stick". back then motherboards had the L2 cache on the motherboard, not the cpu. some boards cheaped out and had an optional COAST module you could buy later. I have two motherboards that can accept those. They tend to be board specific)
