That poor, lonely stick of ram.  It needs 3 friends,  don't you think?

I have 2 sticks in my system that takes it, but I'm not putting any more in because I can't.

The system only supports a max of 2GB.

Stop tempting meeeeeeee. I'd love to whack a 4GB kit in it, but especially with my current situation I can't really justify that, especially when it'll ultimately be replaced by (ideally) a Phenom II platform in a new Enthoo Pro. The twins are great, but they are a bit of a holdback.

very highly doubt it. I feel almost 96.9% confident in saying it's just a standard Dell membrane keyboard of the time slightly modified to shove into a laptop. Granted, they're fairly decent membrane keyboards, but still not mech.

Ooooo that is a beautiful machine! Does it still work?

It turns on but displays a bunch of random garbage. I’ve been trying to look into how to fix it but I haven’t had a lot of time because of school and stuff.

Largely just games that'll run halfway decent on it, though I do occasionally end up listening to music on it or firing up Excel or Word on it even though my main PC exists. One of the rarer things I end up doing is "recording" MIDIs with the Yamaha software synth using Audacity. The product of that can be found down below.

Well, back in March of last year I had replied to another member about the old DFI Lanparty board.

I don't have that board anymore but when searching an old hard drive that I was getting ready to scrap I found a picture of the system from 2007.  Man do I wish I could remember all the specs on that thing.

I'm sure someone here will find them interesting. Also I hope that bottom picture is the 'before' pic of before you cleaned that heatsink.

Thanks. I'm still learning how this forum is laid out. I wasn't sure where to post this.

And yes, that was as soon as I opened the case, lol. That's what 15+years of neglect looks like.

It's all good, welcome!

It doesn't look that bad for 15+ years. I've seen a lot worse in a lot less time. Your Aunt still uses the PC? What does she use it for? I'm surprised it's still going and still usable. Eventually will replace the monitor and need a HDMI port or replace a HDD or something and it'll be easier just to replace the PC.

That 120W PSU with 24W on 12V is cute though! 😛

So the AMD Athlon that I have...I don't know exactly where it came from. The Intel Pentium i200 is from a box of old computer components that my dad got from his job and I pulled it out. The AMD Athlon 64 X2 was from my first PC, a Compaq Presario SR(something). Decided to save it.

Now for the RAM, the two Samsung modules with the aluminum heatsinks I think came from the same box as the Pentium did. The 2x 512MB sticks I believe are also from my first PC, and that last 1GB stick, it came from somewhere!!
