¿Core i7 8700 normal temperatures?

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

Below 70C: very good

70C to 80C: good

80-85C: A bit high

85C-90C: Too high

90C+: Wayyyyyy too high

You can undervolt if you want. It can reduce temperature without reducing performance, as long as you dont go too far and it gets unstable.

Hi all, what are the normal temps for intel i7 8700 processor?

I just have 3 tabs on google chrome and the temperatures are oscilating betwen 36 - 40 c and when i just open a program it goes up to 67 c, I installed the stock cooler with the thermal paste include

 Are those temperatures normal?

Try to run intel burn test at maximum stress level you will be surprised.

I created an account just to reply to this topic as Ive seen alot of this sort of info everywhrre. I have a i7 8700, stock cooler in a case with very good airflow. My stock cooler is attached properly. I have tried every way possible to get my temps to go abive 79 degreese and I can not do it, even whe stress testing my temps are at like 68. Sometimes when im playing a game at some point it will hit 79 degreese but i can never acrually see when it happens as when i alt tab to hwmonitor the temps are at 50ish with fluxuation plus or minus 10 degrees. I really think either most people with these heating issues either havent attached their cooler properly, or have poor airflow
