700 dollar Mac mini. Good for video editing?

I’m thinking of getting the 2.6 ghz 700 dollar Mac mini just for some basic video editing on iMovie. I can’t find many sources on whether it’s a good buy for basic video editing in iMovie (videos will usually be about 30 seconds to 1 minutes)

I used to do basic video editing on ancient laptops, so for basic video editing im sure it will work.

IMovie and windows movie maker are pretty small programs.

No, it's not. It will work, of course, but for 700$ (or less) you could get much better performance if video editing is all you'll use it for. If you have other reasons to get a mac mini and the only think that's holding you back is not knowing whether or not imovie will run and allow you to edit 1 minute videos, however, then it should be fine.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
