Can confirm, I love my 1.2 liter 3 cylinder VW Polo 6R. Does anyone here runs MS3 as piggyback? Polo in question is soon getting a K03 but I need to run different set of injectors, (possibly) coils and still need to retain factory DBW and thats simply not possible with factory ecu due to lack of tuning options.

A couple days ago, I was finally getting my car inspected after dealing with the weird airbag issues, but it failed unfortunately. Turns out the seatbelt was frayed in a spot that I don't normally look at...

 

I was kind of sad since I planned to take it on a roadtrip to a drift event on the fourth of July so I could show it off (also because it's pretty fuel efficient), but that of course didn't happen. Oh well :/

 

On the other hand, I was still able to go and there were some pretty amazing cars participating in the event. I think there were 2 Skylines and 5+ S-chassis, 2 of which sounded like they were LS-swapped. One of the Skylines was a beautiful purple with a giant turbo, and I think it was a track car judging by the Gridlife banner it had. Probably the best way to spend the fourth of July imo.

I did some things since I've last been in this thread...

 

I wrote a big ass check and now my shop has a concrete floor! 6" of 5kpsi concrete, with a 48"x 48"x 48" block pit with conduit to the wall, and one corner has 12" of 5kpsi concrete

 

Then I got some toys...

I bought this in floor lift years ago at an auction and it's been sitting in the corner ever since. It was 460V 3 Phase but some rewiring and a VFD and now it's getting 220V single phase input.

 

Also made a special trip to the freight depot this weekend to take delivery of this baby:

10k Lb BendPak 2 post lift for the corner with extra thick concrete. I still have to install this baby, but it's at least in my hands now. 

 

Plans are slowly coming together.

I was wondering do any of you on here know if it would be possible to get a taller 5th and 6th gear in a Mk7 Golf R manual? I was out for a casual drive last Sunday and when I hit 280km/h (Speedo)/ 272km/h (GPS) my car ran out of gearing while I was on the motorway. I'd be hoping to get over 300 if this is possible before I look into an RS3 as a replacement?
