Running at absolute maximum, the GPU is estimated to consume up to 230W. The rest of your system barely consumes any power. You should be fine.

Hello i built a new pc and im in search of a gpu. I found a pretty good deal for used gainward gtx 770. My psu is corsair vs 450. My question is can this psu handle this gpu? This psu have the pcie connectors.

Depends on your CPU and rest of components but tbh I don't think that PSU can handle a 770 under load. There's a PSU expert around here I don't remember his username but he should be able to tell you why exactly.

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

I just researched and my psu have 34a on 12v rail and the 770 wants 42a. also the minimum W for 770 is 600. I'm not going to fry my pc.

Those wattage's are always over exaggerated.

450 watt would just be enough(about 50-80w headroom depending on your cpu), but I wouldn't risk it as it's a VS unit.

What is your CPU and the rest of your PC?

The GTX 770 draws 230 watts,so I'd recommend a 550w psu if you can fit into your budget.

My 780ti OC 1300mhz, 4660k OC 4.2GHz, optical drive, SSD, 2-7200rpm hard drives and 3 monitors only pull 450w from the wall combined measured with a kill-o-watt meter.

Your PSU is fine.

Also, you won't "Fry your pc". Your PSU will just shut off if you overload it.

As NowThatsDamp said you should be fine.

A Pentium G4600 & motherboard,ram,SSD,HDD and 2 fans doesn't consume much power,but I'm not an expert on power supplies.

225w for the GPU alone, 150ish watts for the rest.  It would be close enough to the PSU's max that I would step up to a 500-550w.

It will work on a 450w PSU as long as it can deliver 400w or more on the 12v rail.  if its a multi 12v rail PSU, it will not work well if at all.

Don’t see this going well at all. I’m sure it will run, just not under load. Assuming that’s why you got a gpu.

Not close enough for amperage and your gonna have to split that 6pin to power it anyway. I doubt it will make it though a unigine benchmark.

The minimum that NVIDIA specifies is with all other components running as well - the 770 absolutely does not consume 600W of electrical energy.
