S7 Fingerprint, Worth It?
Go to solution
Solved by Kobathor,
I think you're making it more complicated than it needs to be.
If you want it to recognize your finger or thumb the best, Android Central says to scan your finger parallel with the sensor. Scan long strips parallel, then take some perpendicular.
Honestly, a fingerprint isn't as secure as a password or even a PIN, since somebody could theoretically lift your fingerprint off of something you've touched and unlock your phone. I've never seen this happen on any measurable scale, but institutions like governments and the police could get into your phone more easily if they had the fingerprint option.
My dad's S7 has no issues recognizing his fingerprint. It's a fast sensor and shouldn't miss it often.
