See I have 2 options right now

I can pull a pretty decent score of 8000 ish right now,or I can go downstairs to my HTPC and get my 20

CPU and GPU were overclocked. See status update for the details.

FHD 1080p High Quality: 10,313 pts.

UHD 4K High Quality: 4,653 pts.

Driver version: 390.65

 

Some things to note: This game, to the best of my knowledge, has the best multithreaded scaling, and that's for DirectX 11, which DX11 can take advantage of multiple CPU cores already. As usual, CPU utilization does go down as the resolution goes up. This is the most demanding game that I have ever come across, and I can't wait to play it after playing FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 on the Xbox 360 that I used to own.

 

If you plan on maxing out this game with 60-80 FPS in mind, I would strongly recommend running the game at WQHD 1440p (2.5K). UHD 4K 60 FPS for one GTX 1080 Ti is too much to ask. So far, word on the street is there's no SLI or Crossfire support

downloading is faster than extracting/installing (which is ANOTHER extracting..)

1080p high, 

-My CPU is choking at 100% (3770k @ 4.2GHz)

-My 1070 is choking

-My vRAM is running out

4k low,

-Ugly as fuck

-CPU choking at 70%
-GPU choking

-vRAM is nice at 4GB.. But ugly as fuck with textures

4k high,

-beautiful

-24fps cinematic movie.

 

i dunno why shadow of mordor.. from 2014.. looks better.. and runs at 4k very high..  

sexy 100GB textures.

earlier today I argued that it's reasonable for me to want to play at god damn 1080p high or 4k lowest/low with 2017/2018 games. he say no it's a 1440p card and it is great must've got a dud..

 

my CPU is dying at 4k also person who told me that you can't cpu bottleneck at 4k..

It can do 1440p with older titles, that's for sure. But you're right, 1080p with games from 2017 onwards, higher settings won't do if you're aiming for 60 FPS if that's your goal.

I try to aim for 4k medium or low or even lowest because it looks better than 1080p high at native 4k. 

 

Itll do 1440p/4k with older titles pre spectre and meltdown but now my CPU just chokes at anything and everything; I play at medium on GTA V and mods.  

 

Edit: choking on vram. Not good.

This was a stutter-fest. fps all over the shop down to 20's. GPU and CPU usage likewise, neither were consistently maxed out. GPU bounced from 30's to 90's. CPU mostly hovered around the 50% mark. Will have to play about with it some more another time.

I had to run it on standard because I only have a 1050ti, as it couldn't even start the High one :l

 

Edit: managed to get it working, though it loves it some frame drops. I also think "slightly low" is a bit of an understatement.

Now this is a LOT better. The difference from last time - full screen mode. Before it was windowed, and I guess it really didn't like it for some reason. In full screen, I'm getting around 80fps in the more open world parts, going to around 120fps in more close up parts.

Ran smooth enough for me 1080p crushed it at a little over 10K I'll get a cap later.
