Well, everything but battery life, which was a big reason I decided against that when picking my phone. I considered the SE for the longest time, but the battery was the drawback I couldn't accept. Would have been a great music player too. (comparably specced, larger i-devices were more expensive at the time, so they were not considered).

The SE actually has remarkable battery life for its size, but that is remarkable for the iPhone. I believe it gets slightly more on screen time than the iPhone 7 does.

I wouldn't say that. I've seen more negative PR for Windows 10 from day one than I have for High Sierra.

HS can't be Apple's Vista. It's actually Apple's fault, not third party OEMs.

Something is wrong with this world.

I miss Mac OS X Snow Leopard as it has features that Apple has removed like cover flow in Finder and iTunes and Dock Expose. Snow Leopard was my first Mac experience. OS X Lion was fine but Mountain Lion was amazing.

Smaller screen, and less pixels (lighter shader load for iOS's visual effects) are probably to attribute. A10 also runs the big cores at a higher clock speed. Apple has historically had pretty unyielding standards as far as responsiveness, so it would be of no surprise if the CPU cores were driven at a high enough speeds that stuttering is very unlikely.

My current phone, even with gaming during my breaks, makes it home with over 70% of battery remaining. This thing whoops even the Note 8 in that regard.

But not on the same level as Snow Leopard. In Snow Leopard, if I have three Safari or Pages windows and I want to attach a picture, I can drag that picture from the a Finder or iPhoto window and drag it to my dock where the Pages icon is at Dock Expose will automatically spring into action only showing me the Pages windows. Another thing that Snow Leopard does that new macOS doesn't is long click on a particular app on the dock with trigger dock expose, showing only windows of that app. Also, the app launcher in Snow Leopard at the bottom right of the dock beside trash and downloads is better imo than the current blown up Launchpad trying to look like iOS.

Well Snow Leopard in it's initial release had that pesky data loss bug that results to that spinning beach ball of death but it was immediately fixed after a software update and after that, I had no major issues with it. And unlike Windows 7 which requires paying Office 2007 just to access Microsoft Exchange email server, Snow Leopard has Microsoft Exchange out of the box for free not to mention upgrading to Snow Leopard is just $29 and it's 64-bit out of the box whereas I paid more than $100 just to get the decent Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit because the lower tier Home Basic and Basic was meh. But I agree that current macOS looks so colorful that I miss the 3D dock from old Snow Leopard.

Cool. But can we also just get rid of the flat design trend already?

I've hated flat design ever since the day iOS was announced... i still miss iOS 6 to date... when every icon made sense, every button was clearly outlined, and the OS just looked... natural?

I really doubt they'll be updating the 4" line of phones again, only because the design is so different from the regular iPhones and they're not popular. I wouldn't mind being wrong, though.

There are a ton of rumors regarding an SE 2, and people do still want a cheaper/smaller iPhone (the SE sold very well iirc).

I'd also love a 6" iPhone X style phone in the design language of the 5/SE.

I have to agree that the current design has fallen a bit flat.

... but seriously, I would take the flat design over the “Skeuomorph” designs.

five by six ICONS!

icons that have the same A E S T H E T I C (glass is <3 too bad it got axed in iOS 8+)

FIVE BY SIX ICONS for the love of god, 4x5 looks sad on the + models)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Just no, absolutely no. The scaling doesn’t fit at all for 5x6 icons.

Here is an example:

I mean with the current spacing I get 24 nicely sized and spaced apps on my home screen and I use folders anyway

I don't like folders and I would try to not use folders, before my home screen has only maybe 3 pages of apps, but having 5/6 page size of apps for the same shit I can do as one with folders... 5/6 too much for me personally.
