i7 8700k stock speed temperature

Hi,

I have some concerns about the temperature of my I7 8700k on stock speed. I have asus rog strix z370-F and kraken X62. See grafs bellow from Aida 64.

Bios default settings, MCE off, Vcore auto, XMP off

https://imgur.com/a/0zBMl

Bios default settings, MCE off, CPU SVID off, speedstep off, XMP off, Vcore 1,22 (actual vcore during stress test 1,232)

https://imgur.com/a/GT3qy

Newest bios version in both examples. CPU temp in bios 34°

Are these temperature normal for 8700k or should i reseat cooler ?

They're normal. 65-75C if I'm correct? Perfectly normal. Unless you're maxing out fans or something.. Try pushing it to sth like 4.8 or 5.0ghz and see if you stay below 90C.. I think you should be able to cool a solid overclock and keep peak temps below 90C (75-80C average)

I don't know what you're looking for. But AIOs usually beat good aircoolers by just a couple degrees..

Looks fairly normal to me. For reference using Realbench + H100i v2 (at "stock" with all BIOS settings default, MCE on) I had 76 degrees before delidding, and 60 degrees after delidding.

Depends on what kind of cooler you are using.

You need to remember that the 8700k is a pretty toasty cpu, and you are running aida 64, which stresses the cpu a lot more than most real world applications would.

need a screenshot of hwinfo to see what the actual voltage is, you should set it to 1.2v instead of auto. most z370 assume u oc and has ridiculous stock settings of up to 1.5v under load, doesn't look to be the case here, anything under 85C is fine for max temp under full load in prime and aida64 (i'm fine with 90 for prime since it'll never realistically get there.

already tested 5.0 ... can't run it without Vcore going over 1.48,  4.9 with vcore over 1.4, 4.8 with vcore 1.3 and LLC 5. Seems like I lose in this lottery.
