13 GPUs in ONE PC? – Mining Adventure Part 2

What about something like monero?

That is most likely mining monero. Bitcoin mining is only profitable using ASICS, like pt. 3 of this series outlined.

Most mining clients pay you in bitcoin based off your contribution. Ex, I mine one day and get paid one bitcoin for it. Bitcoin is worth $10 when I was paid, but now has dropped to $8, so I have $8 instead of the $10 I got the day before. Which is what the trend is right now for btc prices, just obviously with different prices.

Is it possible to build a gpu render farm out of this rig? stack it with nvidia cards and use the cuda core power to render on Redshift for instance? I'm curious as at the small studio I'm working at; we are going to attempt to build a BeefBox gpu farm that is also cost effective. Meaning no $4000 chasi or only max of only 8 gpu's per said $4000 chasi.  Your input is much appreciated thanks.

You're better off making a post instead of asking on a dead thread.

i just finished watching the vid and saw that at least one gpu was a mining specific card and the other day i had been looking at used gtx 1060's for an upcoming build(s) i saw nvidia tesla c1060's for sale. what if i used 12-13 nvidia tesla c1060's on that mb with one standard gpu to see whats going on in set up then maybe replace it with the tesla to get full mining? would it be better then using a non server 1060? yes ik theres better cards etc but looking at the most bang for the buck as it were.thank you.

Is it still worth starting up a mining rig?
