Anyone use Windows Movie Maker?

Does anyone use Windows Movie Maker? Why or why not? If so, what version of Windows Movie Maker is your favorite (which do you use). If not, what version of Movie Maker did you compare to your currently preferred video editor?

My answer: I use Windows Movie Maker 6.0 on Windows 7 (am going to try out Windows Live Movie Maker and Movie Maker 2.6)

I used to use Windows Movie Maker in compatibility mode on Windows 10, but I can't even download the installer from Microsoft anymore. I've fully transitioned myself to Premiere at this point.

You can't download Movie Maker 2.6 or 6.0 from Microsoft. You used to be able to download Live Movie Maker as part of Windows Essentials 2012 (for what it's worth) but not anymore.

Yep, Microsoft took down the Essentials 2012 bundle in January 2017. I don't trust windows-movie-maker.org, so I figured it'd be best if I learned to use a professional video editor.

I personally dont use any video cut/edit software but i know someone who is also satisfied with davinci resolve he said it has everything you need for free but it is not as easy to use. Premiere seems to be one of the best but its not free ^^

If I literally just need to cut down or cut together some video clips really quickly, I'll use Windows Movie Maker. Because it's so simple, it makes it quick to use. I don't use it for actual video editing though. In the somewhat rare case I edit videos, I'll normally use DaVinci Resolve.

That program was my daily driver until my boot drive got corrupted, and now I can't use it as they've removed the download.

Used it before for Vista and Windows 7. It wasn't too bad. Vista had a exclusive one called Windows Movie Maker HD, which was only available for Home Premium and Ultimate.
