What happened to 1080ti?

Hey guys,

I was checking 1080ti prices and saw that nearly EVERY card is sold out everywhere.

Furthermore, the 1080ti FTW3 ICX (the card I was looking at it) is now nearly $1300.

Why did the prices increase so quickly?

Well people are buying more GPUs than AMD and nVidia can manufacture right now, so supply vs demand = high price.

Oh my gosh, I was just thinking the same thing. I was on PCPartPicker, trying to put together a build, and I figured I could fit a 1070 in, but then I saw that they're going for upwards of $750! I noped the hell out of that and went for a 1060 6GB, but seriously?!

Before this latest hike happened, i noted that the 1060 3gb (10% or 20dollars) and the 1080 ti (<5%) were least affected by the price jumps, basically went with 1080 tis for value (lol), 

 

However this latest bump is across the board, after I saw a 1060 3gb for 170dollars early december.

Noticed this today as well, really want to get the Watercooled GTW3 Hybrid 1080Ti but can't find it anywhere, not even on the EVGA website. 

 

Would be nice if it was because Volta is close but like people say, mining is really messing up the market at the moment

Trying to keep cheap/poor people from getting top tier graphics. So many console peasants converting and people using low/mid grade components claiming masterrace. It’s our way of thinnning the herd.

Like mick said, its time to thin out the plebs from the master race. No more poorfags, up with the wallet warriors and whales.

 

Only 2 high end gpu's where at stock in the shop near me. 1080 strix for 680€ ( which i bought before it run out of stock ) and 580 strix for 420€.

Cheapest 1080ti was msi armor for 800€, but those 2 strix cards are the only ones in stock. There was a frontier edition vega for 1200€, but you would have to be mentally challenged to buy that.

Pretty much in just a weeks time all the 1070, 1080 and the AMD counterparts vanished from the market. All of them are recommended for Mining.

Pretty much all sold out instantly leaving the normal public Gasping and going WTF!  Even the used market is going crazy in prices.

Does anyone know when the next batch of stock will hit the shelves? I was staring at an Amazon preorder for a Strix 1080Ti OC for $800 and it sold out as I was contemplating biting the bullet.

Every 10 days to two weeks. You have the option to auto notify. Just got a 1080 the other night, simply looking at amazon

I just sold my 1080ti. Looked at the games coming out this year and said nope. I'm skipping 2018. I just hope the mining craze is over when Doom's expansion or some other must play game comes out.
