Asrock AB350m Pro4

Malikia1012

Hello, first time posting.

I have been having random freezing with my newly built system.  Sometimes it can go hours and it freezes, others it freezes 5 or 6 times in a row.  All needing a hard re start to fix.  I have done all the typical checks (moving memory around, using only one stick, re seating the cpu, resetting BIOS etc.)  I have heard that is a common problem with this MB, but this board is also highly reviewed and I do enjoy the BIOS screen.  But all the reading I've done I have not seen a fix to this problem other then replacing the MB.  If anyone has any suggestion I would love to hear them.

No to the first, yes to the later.  Ive also read that BIOS ver. 3.00 is the best one so Im considering downgrading the BIOS.

Wipe the drive and do a clean install would be my advice.

From other forums I've read that hasn't been successful.  But I'll give it a shot.

In fact it's the other way around, not doing a clean install usually causes more problems than it's worth.

I hope it fixes your issues.

It did not , still freezes every 10 mins or so.  depending on what Asus says in their response I may just get a new and different MOBO.
