I like contrasts for the most part, and color schemes involving different colors.

 

White/blue for example is one of my favorites.

Back in 2010 there were RGB LED backlit monitors and TVs for a couple thousand dollars. Now you gotta spend between $20,000 and $50,000 if you want one.

Actually youre incorrect. In additive colour models, its the absence of light, not colour. In subtractive colour, its all the colours combined...

i'm going based on physics, where it is the absence of visible light, and therefore the absence of color, which is why black is nowhere on the visible light spectrum. I don't care about other models

Well, if you really want true white and not “blueish” white, then you also need a white LED together with your red, green and blue LEDs. They are called RGBW. :)

RGBW as in LGs OLED TVs where its stscked RGB OLEDs with colour filters on the three coloured sub pixels and a transparent one on the W subpixel?

 

The bluish white on screens is from WLED backlights, which are just blue LEDs with cheap phosphor.

 

Otherwise an incandescent bulb gives you a continuoum of white light very cheaply and better than LEDs since its a black body radiator.

I'm really referring to RGBW "chips". Although I'm definitely not in to this RGB madness myself, but you can buy these chips mounted on strips (list like your plain old RGB strips) to make your system even more RGB-ish (or RGBW-ish). :P
