Galaxy S8 not connecting to computer

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 that I would like to connect to my Windows 10 PC. When I connect with an OEM cable like this, Windows doesn't recognize the phone. The phone does indicate that it is charging. I've switched cables, switched USB ports, and both the phone and the PC are updated. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a fix?

Tech, engineering, gaming and promoting the metric system. These are my things.

Currently rocking a ThinkPad L13 laptop tricked out with an i7, running Windows 10.
