But then again, with two 290X cores each with 4GB RAM and a 512bit memory bus you wouldn't need v-sync for a while.

And lets not forget that amd is pushing tech to take full advantage of multi gpus including using each ones vram for different tasks resulting in 8 actual GB of vram on this thing instead of 4 due to having to copy commands on each one's memory

That's indeed possible with Mantle, I've never thought about it though, it sounds very promising.

Just connect it to a radiator like the ones you have in your house and move to siberia... then it might hit around 80 degrees celcius
