How to keep this build cool?

Hi everyone,

 

This is my first build and I'm struggling to decide on what is the best configuration of fans etc. to keep this case nice and cool. Where should I mount the CPU cooler (top or front?), and where should I place the two stock fans for input and output airflow, while working around the 1080 ti HYBRID cooler?

 

I'm completely open to switching that Cooler Master CPU liquid cooler or buying 120/140 mm fans if necessary (but I'm already over budget so any savings would be fantastic!). I'm working with the Fractal Design Meshify C, but I'm open to other suggestions.

 

Any other advice on the build in general would be welcome, and any prices would be best in GBP.

Hi Alex, very good question that I should've addressed in the original post. It's exclusively for gaming; I'm looking to play a selection of AAA titles, and I'd specifically like to be able to play Star Citizen at high settings once it's been further developed.

if you can put the cpu cooler on the top, the gpu cooler on the back and the two fans on the front, if you cant then put the radiator of the cpu in the front with the extra fans on top

Thanks cj. So it's preferable to have the fans intaking air from the front and the CPU cooler at the top, with the GPU cooler at the back. Another amateur question here, how can I check that there will be enough space to fit the CPU cooler at the top without it interfering with the MOBO or RAM?

Tbh I don't think you would need Liquid cooling, Better off swapping that out with a CPU Fan (Be Quiet are silent and good at the same time) and a couple Fans for the front and top. preferably set up with a balanced airflow 

 

As Your CPU isn't what gonna be majorly tasked when playing games it's gonna be more your GPU than CPU running the graphic rendering and loading. CPU would be aiding from time to time.

 

A liquid cooler would be more used for Hardcore Editing/Rendering Rigs Dominantly.

its not easy to tell, the way i do it is i search on google images for images of the case using water coolers, there are a bunch of them so it will probably work

I'd do a push pull config in front (if you have 4 fans)

and the gpu in the back

I would swap out he AiO for the Dark Rock Pro 3, and put the GPU radiator as the exhaust in the back. I would put the included fans in the front.

The motherboard is absolute crap. The MSI SLI Plus costs less, and is decent.

There are faster RAM kits available for less.

You're aware that the pricing on the GPU in PCPP is wrong?
