Fixed build switched out for a z270

Looks like a pretty good build, maybe push a bit for a 1060 6Gb or 1070

As title suggests shall be using this as my gaming box. Gigabyte for motherboard is must have for macOS.

Budget is £800. Please let me know if there is anything I should do, budget isn't set in stone but is preferable.

So you're building a Hackintosh?

Any reason you're using OSX for gaming over Windows?

EDIT: Just saw your signature, disregard my question lol

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

Disregard this whole post actually.

Why get an H-series board with an unlocked CPU?

H series doesn't let you overclock, that's a feature reserved for Z series boards. It can't be that hard to find a Z series mATX board though, right..?

will the extra 3GB make a big difference? Current build specs are in SIG but need to diagnose as DIYed into a MacPro Tower case and shorted out house :(

The 1060 6Gb is more of a 1060Ti, you'll be benefiting from the extra 3Gb VRAM in addition to more GPU cores which also improves performance.

Get the cheapest 1060 6Gb you can. Performance is pretty much the same, the only real difference between them is clock speed, and you can always overclock if you need it to be faster.

There would probably be a slight temperature difference; I go for longer cards if possible as they look better in windowed cases haha

Yes, get all the RGB you can haha

just kidding, it's mostly an aesthetic thing that I wouldn't really go for personally, I'd get it to enjoy the wider color range so I could have it pulse in certain colors. Up to you though

Basically just want Cyan, don't want to go overkill but don't want any parts to be single coloured as many RGB stuffs isn't *other OS* compatible
