Someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that once ripped, any region restrictions have been removed.

I think he means with the refresh rate? but no you shouldn't do as the device SHOULD change to the refresh rate of the media.

Hi,

Just wanted to get some knowledge on buying movies for my plex server.

Sadly in Australia blu ray films are limited compared to the range in the US. I'm just wondering if I would encounter any playback issues when streaming them from my Plex server to my devices due to different regions?

I use makemkv and AnyDvd HD to rip my content  for Plex.

Cheers.

Yeah, issues related to playback on devices from my Plex server. But anyway like Circuit Bored said "  I believe that once ripped, any region restrictions have been removed."

Cheers.
