1080ti and 8700k getting 50fps average on assassins creed origins

guys i made this itx build with a  intel 8700k and 1080ti strix

the 1080 ti goes to like 84 degrees while playing AC:O and i only get 50fps in average at max setting and 1920x1080

i think something is wrong and i dont know how to approach this issue

 

i didnt overclock anything yet and i ran this benchmark:

AC:Origins is running the game in a virtual machine which taxes the CPU unnecessarily. Apart from this, I don't have the game and can't help further. 

 

I would just ask on the Ubisoft forum and sign a petition or something.

i was looking at the assassins creed benchmark in the game

it looks perfectly fine at 50fps

but im trying to figure out why other people get much more

So that's running the game at 4k and causing your massive frame rate drop, PCgamer has exactly 50fps at 4k with a 1080ti, the game is just really poorly made overall, you can run Wolf 2 with a 580 at 4k 60fps, too bad not even game can use idtech6

1920x1080 times 2 is roughly 4147200 pixels or 2720x1530...ish. 4K is 8294400 pixels. 

 

4K is 4 times 1080p. Not 200%. It's 400%.

That's not how the math works

 

If you multiply 1920 * 2 you get 3840
But you also multiply 1080 * 2 so you get 2160

 

So your end resolution is X4 because you're multiplying both the x and y axis. You're multiplying it twice basically

If you start with 1x1 multiply each axis by 2 what size grid do you end up with? 2x2 which is now 4 in total, an X4 increase.

Think of it this way, it's 200% on each axis, so 200% + 200% totals a 400% increase

If you only applied to one axis like 1920 * 2 and kept 1080


You'd wind up with 3840 x 1080 which is exactly double the pixels, just not in any reasonable aspect ratio.

It's not
(1920x1080) = X  * 2

It is
2(1920x1080) or (1920 * 2)  *  (1080 * 2)

Do you get why 200% scaling is actually X4 the pixels? Why it's running at 4k?
