Thanks Guys buy I can't find the HP Spectre x360 anywhere online in an i5 variant. The Asus has thermal issues which believe me I have had enough of. The Acer has a dull screen I think. I am waiting for the prices to decide between my shortlist.

Thanks going to wait for the deals. What about the spectre x360? The touchscreen seems inviting. Same with the Pixelbook and lighter OS.

Solid built, only criticism is while under load, the fans are a bit loud and surface temperature is a bit hot

Sure I will wait for the prices. One last thing Is it worth the extra money to upgrade to the 8th Gen processes with quad core for basic productivity tasks. Also that means better battery life and there might he other upgrades?

VERY VERY worth it. You gain about 50% more performance without much price increase compared to 7th gen ULV. Battery life is slightly better with KB-R CPUs too

Actually having the "i7" version and I am more than happy, just wanted to share it since I think the laptop is a little under the radar :)

The screen in Spectre x360 is excellent, just like the XPS 13. Yoga 720 15 inch also a good 2 in 1 that offers HQ CPU and GTX 1050 GPU, good display, good build quality, good battery life, portable and decent speakers

Battery Life does not matter but the Inspiron is too heavy same with the Yoga also won't the HQ CPU cause thermal throttling?

Also 15 inchers are tough to hold jn the hand since tablet mode will become brilliant for media consumption

Yeah gets a little warmer than I would like it but only noticable when you have it on your lap, which makes it a kind of a LAPtop ;)

This, but altough the laptop is made out of plastic it still doesn't feel that cheap because the material is somewhat mate and therefore feels waaay better than those acer plastic laptops. Also the screen on my one is really bright and sharp in color for the price.

The dell and the lg have awkward camera positions which if you don't mind you can go for them.

HP spectre has a good position and decent camera. However I suggest you buy a small external camera of good quality if you don't mind a few cables or a little extra weight.

i can vouch for the Yoga 720. got a 7th gen i7 13 inch. absolutely the best ultra-book I've used. I've always had great experience with Lenovo products. I didn't go for the spectre as @ZM Fong stated, it's surface temps were too high even while idle for it to be comfortable for me. The Yoga doesnt have this issue. I would recommend finding a store that has display models so you can get a feel for the build, keyboard and screen to see what you like best.

the Yoga, XPS and spectre are all good choices, it will just come down to what you like and what you're willing to put up with.
