SuperNOVA G3 650W vs SuperNOVA G2 650W

Hi guys! So I am in a little pickle on whether to go with the G3 power supply or the G2 power supply. The G3 is somewhat cheaper compared to the G2 and is the newer model, but all the youtube build guides primarily only use the G2 power supply instead so I'm confused whether to go with the G2. Lots of articles and reviews say G3 is good so why don't more people use it in their builds. I'm trying to go for the best option and would really appreciate your guys' input! :)

The G3 is regarded as the better unit but it's also louder due to the aggressive fan curve it has.

The G3 is better but they are both great. Just pick whichever is cheaper.

The G3 is regarded as the better unit but it's also louder due to the aggressive fan curve it has.

G3 is a bit louder but is also smaller than G2.

They are both excellent.  In theory the G3 is better.  I suspect you don't see it as often because it's newer, or perhaps because people feel the G2 is sufficient.  I hadn't heard the things people are saying about the fan but if that's true that could be why as well.

The G3 is still a fairly new revision of that power supply, so that might be why alot of build guides have the G2 rather than the G3. 

 

As everyone above said, just get whichever is cheaper.
