Not unless you're planning on a RAM upgrade as well.

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

8GB is really the lower limit for games. I don't think you'll run into too many VRAM limiting scenarios on 2GB at 1080p but I'm not speaking from experience. Why not just go with the Dell Inspiron that DOES have the 1050Ti, I don't think it's that much of a price increase right?

Avoid Asus FX,GL series, different issues on different models, same goes to MSI GV,GL,GP
Dell 7567 is a solid built budget gaming laptop

Sadly not available in our country.. we got the i5 with 1050 and i7 1050 ti only... and the price diff too far.. like for the 1050 $1100 then the 1050 ti around $1400

I prefer the Inspiron 7567 model, DON'T buy a laptop by brand

1050 2GB and 4GB are pretty much the same in performance, however the 4GB VRAM can reduce bottleneck like VRAM limitation in graphic heavy games. The 1050TI 4GB VRAM is much faster (don't get the 2GB one)

Also, VRAM is not RAM

8

I would go with the ASUS, having a nice CPU really does help with productivity and general responsiveness. 8Gb of ram is a little low but definitely do-able. The 1050(ti?) is a generally good gfx card and should be able to 1080p to 1440p game on medium settings with no problems. you shouldn't run into any VRAM issues with that (most games don't need more than 2, csgo for example) plus I think the ASUS laptop is more aesthetically pleasing

As I said before, avoid Asus FX and GL series. Also, 1050TI with 2GB VRAM will not utilize the full performance of 1050TI due to VRAM bottleneck in most modern games
